Lobster Abduction

This is Louis the Lobster, the stunt double for the NEMO Royale conference movie. On the first day of the conference he was abducted and held for ransom by an unknown mastermind.

The mastermind was none too happy with the fake money and Chet’s announcement during a plenary session that we would not be intimidated.

For some reason, Todd Janeski from VA NEMO was everyone’s number 1 suspect. Our apologies Todd.

Another suspect was NC State’s Greg Jennings. Some suspected his nice guy demeanor was just a clever cover.

Suspect number 3 was our hostess – Maine NEMO Czar LaMarr Clannon.

Never considered suspects – UConn CLEAR’s own Mike Dietz & Cary Chadwick, Geospatial Training Program Coordinator. Note Mike was kind enough to cary the briefcase, with the ransom inside, to the lobster bake.

The lobster was returned to its rightful owner relatively unharmed, although missing an appendage.

In the end it was a classic inside job. The new guy and the trendy youngster.
