Frolic with the sea creatures and learn about the history of beautiful Monterey Bay with NEMO’s very own Paddlemeister, Monique Myers (CA). Bob McCormick (IN) will be riding shotgun, in case any white water boils up

Whale Watch Cruise (see Whale Watch video)
Come aboard and catch a glimpse of some of the ocean’s most amazing creatures as they frolic in Monterey Bay. If for some strange reason you don’t already feel small and insignificant, you will!

Day One

Dessert Reception at Monterey Bay Aquarium |
We will cap off the first official day of U6 with a fancy dessert reception amongst the fishes at the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium. NEMOids will have exclusive access to the Aquarium’s stunning one-million-gallon Outer Bay wing, which is home is to the largest community of open-ocean animals to be found in any aquarium. Giant bluefin tuna power their way through the water. Hammerhead sharks circle inches away. Sea turtles cruise lazily by. All while you feast on delectable desserts. Pure Chicken Soup for the NEMOid Soul. |
Day Two

Beach Blanket Bingo Barbeque and Bonfire |
We will celebrate making it two-thirds of the way through the U6 agenda with a barbeque and bonfire on the beach. Starring Julie Westerlund (MN) as Annette Funicello and Patrick Beggs (NC) as Frankie Avalon. Bring your own bikini and ukulele, but the barbeque, marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate bars will be provided. Sparks will fly! (Burning posters optional).
