Asheville Indian Restaurant Bus Girl List

On a recent trip to Asheville, NC to conduct an ArcGIS.com training, NEMO Hub staff met a bus girl at a VERY spicy Indian restuarant who was from, of all places, Duluth, MN! We told her about our conference and on our way out the door she stuck this list of her Duluth favorites (note the spicy curry thumbrint in the upper right hand corner). So check out her picks!

From 27th Avenue East to Bayfront Festival Park this 4.2 mile pathway named the Duluth Lakewalk traces the shore of Lake Superior, fronting the Duluth downtown area. At the western end are the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center complex (including the Omnimax and Duluth 10 movie theaters), the Great Lakes Aquarium and the Bayfront Festival Park, where hot tunes sound out on cool summer nights. In-between are the Canal Park entertainment district, the icon Aerial Lift Bridge, and sculptures representing Duluth and its sister cities in Sweden, Russia and Japan. Aerial Lift Bridge - 1 mile from Sheraton Duluth Hotel

The Aerial Lift Bridge (earlier known as the Aerial Bridge or Aerial Ferry Bridge) is a major landmark in the port city of Duluth, Minnesota. The span is a vertical lift bridge, which is rather uncommon, but it began life as an extremely rare transporter bridge—the first of just two such bridges ever constructed in the United States. Originally built in 1905, the bridge was upgraded in 1929–30 to the current lifting design and continues to operate today. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 22, 1973. A maritime museum maintained by the United States Army Corps of Engineers exists near the site of the bridge.
