Watershed regions throughout Connecticut
Topical Focus
 Education of Connecticut land use decision makers that addresses the relationship of land use to natural resource protection- water quality link and implementation of associated management practices.
Target Audience
Municipal Officials and land use decision makers.
Primary Tools
  • Municipal Initiative, focused on implementation of best management practices, continues in Woodstock, Greenwich, Salem, Naugatuck Valley Brownfields Pilot Towns and Old Saybrook. Round two initiated in Canterbury, Suffield and Candlewood Lake Authority.
  • Demonstration Site at Haddam Extension Center.
  • Impervious Surface Buildout Analysis Central Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments - Pomperaug River Watershed is the pilot area.
  • Outreach Support for Source Water Assessment Program, CT Health Department & DEP.
  • Coastal module to support outreach efforts of CT PEP OLISP and TNC.
  • Educational programs for CT DEP's NPS Program.
